Re: Transfer market soft ban doesn't end

I got a soft ban after bidding on 150-200 gold rares for TOTY Upgrades (buying them while theyre cheap). That was on Friday, Jan 12th around 1 AM. Usually, my experience with soft bans is that they go away after a few hours, however, I'm still not able to buy/bid on any players and get the usual error "There was an error communicating with the Football Ultimate Team servers. Please try again." Even on the EA Help chat I was just told that they can last up to 72 hours, but it's been well over 80 now. I can still sell players or add them to the watch list or whatever, but buying them or bidding on them is not possible (on the Web App as well). The EA Help employee just told me to put this issue in here, so that's what I'm doing now. How long do I still have to wait and what can I do to avoid this in the future?

  • That's funny. How is the forum supposed to help you? That's actually the job of the support team. I would open a new ticket and ask again if they can check this for you.

I was wondering this myself. Posted this again into the Bug Report section, maybe that's a better fit than in here.

  • I am afraid that you will get the answer that you should contact the support. As I said: Support is your first point of contact for technical problems like this.

@BenniZ27 Usually 24 hours, to avoid this in future i suggest remembering that fc 24 is a football simulator, not a trader simulator.

hi, i have the same issue now, have your problem solved? and how?

  • Hello,

I am experiencing the same issue; I have been unable to access the Transfer Market since Tuesday around 2 p.m. The reason given was that I allegedly purchased too many players in a short amount of time. (For SBCs, mind you, not for trading).

After submitting my tickets, I was given the runaround. Initially, I was told to wait 6-7 hours, then 24 hours, and finally 48 hours. During the last interaction, the support representative assured me that I would definitely be able to play again and use the Transfer Market with certainty after this period. If not, I was advised to open another ticket.

To my surprise, even now, after over 72 hours, I still cannot access the Transfer Market, and no one can tell me why. To be honest, I would like compensation for this inconvenience!

  • It turned out I just had too many unassigned items which I had bought before the TOTY Upgrade SBCs were released. Even though a few EA Help employees were able to lift the "ban" for a few hours, it only fully disappeared after I started decreasing the unassigned pile. I'm not sure why it took 15 different consultants to tell me that, but I got there in the end and never had any issues since then.

  • Alright, that could indeed be a clue because I also have around 70 unassigned items. Originally, I saved them for the TOTS event, and I even planned to acquire more. However, if that could help, I might consider redeeming them for the PREM TOTS.

Anyway, I will pass on this tip to the support staff.

@ESC-Aisaka This could be a clue aswell:

You can only have a maximum of 200 players as "unassigned" in the club. If you sell 3 of these 200 players, then you can buy 3 more. If your clipboard was empty, you could buy 200 players again. This new rule is intended to eradicate large scale trading.
  • Guys, just got my first ever soft ban.

How long will this last roughly does anyone know?
