I'm using Windows 10 and I'm about to pull my hair out. Guess I'll just have to stick with getting my games from Steam never have a problem with their games.

I found a few threads which seem to discuss the same error. I've linked them in order of which ones you should try (assuming the one before doesn't help).

I think they all ultimately do the same thing (again, not really sure about this issue), but give it a go!

Thanks, but I gave the game to my wife her laptop runs Windows 7. I downloaded it from Steam and it worked for me right away, I'm sticking with Steam their stuff works I have tons of games from them and have never had a problem like this.
