Re: Sims 3 Movie Stuff NOT WORKING!!!!!

The expansion pack has been put in the computer...and when the game is launched, there is nothing different with in the game...the loading screen shows the Movie Stuff....but nothing in the inventory files showing Movie Stuff, my Supernatural shows up in this folder.  There is  no clothes, no furniture, etc.

Not sure what is going on...uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times.

And no it is not highlighted in my start up.

My daughter now says it was...highlighted in the launcher

then it is installed , usually the expansion or stuff pack has what is called a collection folder for each pack but the movie stuff one icon collection pack folder is missing BUT the items are there  ask your daughter to launch the game and send a sim to a mirror click on the mirror -option change apperance the movie stuff hairs will show up for the clothes send sim to a dresser-option plan out fit the clothes will be there and she'll see in the clothing section other stuff is in the game if she tries the build/buy she'll find the bedroom-dressers she'll find the wardrobe there

Yes she said that is there, but should there be new buidlings??  And it still does not show up in the folder within the game?

no new buildings with this stuff pack , the folder icon is missing for the pack but the stuff is installed it is mainly stuff clothes , hair, some male facial hair furniture some cars

sec i'll brb with a list of exactly is in the pack and you can make your own collection folder for it too

edit typo

to make your own collection folder go to buy mode then click on collection folders-select make a collection folder choose an image then

1. Open a game.
 2. Make the collection. Name it Movie Stuff  then add the items to the folder from buy/build mode
When you select an item you will see a add to collection 
 3. Exit the game.
 4. Go to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Collections/User
 5. Sort the files by date
 6. Rename the last .package file to match the collection you just made. Movie Stuff It will be a long jumbled mess that looks kinda like this: coll_0x2d00476387eo.package. Now it will be named Movie stuff

note for step 6 take a rough idea of the time you make the folder so you can rename it in your the electronics arts/thesims3/Collection/user 

the time and date you made the collction folder at will be in the list of collection folders

image1 to give arough idea of how to small medium and large arrows the steps to take  large arrow select an icon for your collection folder and name it once named tick accept

image 2 how to add to the collection folder select something in buy mode then select the add to collection folder which will open up the folder with the icons on it select your icon yo choose for the folder the item will be added to your folder
