if you mean by creating 2 separate houses in the same game, no, you can't, you can only have one at a time. However you could have one family that is two. You could in the a sim, make one family, but at the same time build another, then when you edit the relationship, you don't connect the 2 together, so the game thinks you do have 2 families in the same house. Once you have the house, I guess you could buy another, and get some of your Sims there. Although I'm not sure exactly how to do that (ie buying another house, having 2 not 1).

    when you make your sims in the edit town create a houshold place that family in a house in the game your playing in then once you move them in send one of your sims in the household you play with to the other house  to start to become friends with them once the friendship builds up a bit you will then have options from the sim phone to invite over, invite out usually the best time to send your sim over to visit is about 6am otherwise the other sims are out and about

    p.s.

    the other thig  is you can have up to 8 sims live in the one house so again from the edit town create ahousehold you can move those sims into your house and have control over all of them
