Re: Sims 3 won't run on 2015 macbook pro

@mschwalje

The Sims 3 is not compatible on Macs which only have integrated Intel Iris graphics. If you would like to play the game on your Mac with these graphics you have to edit the GraphicsCards.sgr and GraphicsRules.sgr files. Instructions can be found here. Whilst this fix is working for some, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for everyone.

    Hi,

    I am getting this issue, however it is on a machine that I previously played on. I did a factory reset of my machine, and when I tried to install the sims again, I can't get it to load past the initial screen - the blue square with the green diamond thing.

    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still with no luck.

    I understand if it doesn't work with the new MacBook, but this was my old iMac that I played Sims on for hours and hours?

    - Have you moved your Sims 4 folder out from Documents > Electronic Arts onto your desktop and let the game regenerate a new, clean one?

    - Have you tried reinstalling the super patch? The link is in my signature at the bottom of this post.

    - Which iMac do you have?
