Re: Not launching on Steam Deck after most recent update

If anyone is wondering - I managed to resolve this by uninstalling/reinstalling the game. Wonder if this is necessary after every update..

  • @SFaris94 Hi what game is this for? Are you talking about the EA app not launching? That's what problem I'm running into right now.
  • I attempted the uninstall/reinstall today without any success...

    Still unable to play the game in the Game Mode or Desktop Mode. I've also installed the EA App in the Desktop mode and signed in succesfully but unfortunately still no luck with access the game.

    Very frustrating experience and seemingly no way to resolve. Others have had the same issues and have made posts through the Steam community.

    @rectifier96 Same is happening to me. I've done the same steps with no luck. I'm trying to play Battlefield 1 and all of a sudden the launcher stops working.. been that way fir a week now. Very disappointing

    Same here.....when booting the EA app on steamdeck, its says there is a mandatory update , the update downloads, installs then asks for an app restart. When it starts again, it goes through the same process saying there is a mandatory update.... just keeps happening. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
