Seem to work now, played all online tournament and 1on1 without a crash...

What I did after reading BF2142 post they use the same game-engine (frostbite) same problems

1.Disabled Verical Sync

2.Disabled AA

3,Window mode

4.Start \PGATour\PGATour.exe as admin

Boooooom! got my first HIO in a 1on1 match 🙂

The community manager response didn't include any useful fixes, however I also tried what was posted in this thread:

1.  Running in windowed mode

2.  Anti Aliasing disabled

3.  Vertical Sync Disabled

The game is running stable with those settings --  but as you can understand I'm not entirely pleased and the problem seems to be with the game if we can make things more stable by backing off the very settings I invested in with my brand new machine.  All in all I'm happy to be able to play, but I really hope I can have the top-of-the-line visual experience I have invested in via this game.

barry you keep posting the same *. no it doesnt work. i tried taking the game out and blowing on it. that didnt work either....

I’m having the same issue on my 3080 PC and Steamdeck. Fully updated on both and it crashes at the same spot. Final hole of playoff in career mode. 

Since the issue seems tied to the playoff, has anyone tried withdrawing from the tournament? Don’t want to do this 1 hole from my first win but I also don’t want to start over completely. 

If I can’t fix this I am going to try to refund on Steam and get the 2K game instead. 

I’m on PS5. My career mode is still crashing in the 2nd playoff match. Tried quoting and restarting five times and hasn’t worked. When will this get fixed EA? An update would be appreciated by everyone here who is still having this issue. 

Can't play career mode at all with the playoffs crashing & coming up with an error message at the exact same time (after intro on the course), ea have said they have a team working on it, they've recently released notes that they have fixed the playoffs crashing issue & that is not true, its still crashing preventing any progress in career mode plus some challanges still aren't tracking or giving rewards. The update completely broke the entire game & it is unplayable in its current state.

I am experiencing this same issue as well. Can't finish my tournament b/c the game keeps crashing during the course preview. I am on an XBOX series X. I tried restarting the game, deleting and re-installing the game, as well as booting in safe mode. None of these options worked!

How often does the bug occur? Everytime
How can we find the bug ourselves? On Korn Ferry Tour week 6, made final playoff putt to win. Once putt is made, game crashes to desktop immediately. Try and load again, does the 18th flyover, then crashes again.

Every solution mentioned has not worked. No patch has worked. Can't advance in the game and it's frustrating. I was really enjoying the game but this absolutely killed any excitement I had.

Has there been a solution offered for this yet? Mine is exactly the same. My game crashes anywhere from 5 mins into playing to maybe an hour but does it everytime I play 100% of the time, completely random. It will shut down my whole Xbox series X system and I have to physically push the power button myself, my controller won’t turn it back on. It then books up from last of power mode as if it had been unplugged. So frustrating!
