Poor force feedback on logitech g923 xbox series x

Product: F1 23
Platform:Xbox Series X
Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug Force feedback on logitech g923 not working properly. The buttons, pedals and steering works, and the force feedback is present from time to time (if I unplug the device and plug it back in a few times). However, the force feedback is far from what it should be. Its not at all snappy like it used to be on f122. Something is definitely wrong with the way the game interacts with the wheel and it needs to be updated ASAP. I purchased the champion edition, but its not been an enjoyable experience playing the game so far because of the force feedback issues. How can this be fixed? When will it be fixed?
What is your 16 digit Report Code? Don't know how to find it
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Homenet
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use the logitech g923 when playing any game mode on xbox series x
What happens when the bug occurs? I am not enjoying playing the game
What do you expect to see? I expect a fix to this. A patch or whatever. I know the potential of the wheel, and this is far from it

Please fix the force feedback for the logitech g923 on the xbox series x

  • I'm experiencing the same on Xbox One. Whilst I'm delighted the rev lights and extra wheel buttons finally work natively on the game, the feedback doesn't feel quite right.

I assumed that it could be tied into the new handling model maybe - less understory cars may mean a light feeling turn in? But the more I play, the more the feedback feels weak and washed-out even on 150% feedback setting.

  • Hello again friend. I have been testing this some more tonight on time trial. A good solid 20 laps in and still experiencing the poor feedback through the wheel. For me at least it feels like the return to center is really weak-feeling. You take a low speed corner and as you straighten the wheel it just goes limp, leading to over-steering on exit (not the rear snapping out - literally aiming to straighten the wheel and overshooting in the opposite direction)

A temporary fix I just discovered - go into calibration I'm the 'controls, vibration & force feedback' menu and set the Steering Rate from 100% to 160%. It doesn't feel exactly like it did on F1 22 but it's very close to - an instant 4 tenths faster after doing this 😎👍

  • @MrSarcasmFPS Hello again friend. I have been reading some other threads and it seems the reason for the poor force feedback' is because TrueForce is meant to be enabled on Xbox but currently isn't working as designed - which would explain the strange feeling in the wheel, but also why the rev lights/extra wheels buttons now work in an F1 game for the first time.

I have only tried TrueForce on Assetto Corsa and it feels very different to standard FFB. As soon as it's patched we should be ok, but for now a 160% steering rate setting should see us through 😎👍
