its not "RNG" its where (EA) wants the ball to be.
I hit so many shots that go NOWHERE where I want them and I'm talking with-in even a few feet and (EA) is like "I think we want your ball... here! 32' 3" from the hole instead of 9' 2" huge differences there (EA)
you (EA) have ZERO business controlling where my shots go, or anyone else's.... so STOP doing it!!

It's better as I'm getting better Specs, as it was designed I'm sure. But i still have a lot of "what the hell" moments. Oh and there's the old RNG on the green. I putt and the hole is there and when the ball is rolling in the cup, it's not there anymore. 🤐

Once you are totally specced and leveled, the ball does as you would expect based on your swing. Once maxed everything is explainable by swing and dispersion (at least for non hard swings). Hard swings seems to have some extra modifier.

Funny you bring this thread back. I was on a long par 3 last night and thought it would be a great time to miss the green and get one of my par save for the daily quest. I hit a red fast aiming on the left side of the green... and immediately the heartbeat slow motion moment started.. I went "What The hell?" and the ball went straight hitting the pin and in the hole for an Ace. I was still giggling like when I was a schoolgirl before going to bed. It was hilarious.

There was a pollster who complained that the heartbeat moments were broken and no longer showing up. Looks like that got fixed in Update 8.0. For adding an option to remove RNG or just fix it, it will be “A Long Way to the Top If You Want To Rock N Roll”. That quote is the title of an AC/DC song.

I never stopped having them since I played, just about all of them have the ball stopping right next to the hole.

I don't think it has ever been broken. You just need to have it enabled, and hit a good enough shot to activate it.
Just hitting it close or in the hole will not trigger it.
