problems with the build button since the recent update

Since the recent update and the addition of the buy button, the build button has been acting wonky.  I cannot press it, or I press it and it freezes giving me nothing I can build with. I am able to press other buttons or move items around in my home, but I cannot got back to live mode.  I end up shutting down the game and restarting.  When is this issue going to be fixed now??
