Credits: @fons_garmoOMG!!! Thank you so much, you have no idea how frustrating it was to see all kinds of tutorials and they never worked for me.
Mine didn't want to work either, so I tried following a tip from this thread the "SHIFT" + ¿ or ? depending on if you want to increase or decrease the size, and THAT ONE did work, my keyboard only has spanish and english, main language spanish, but I am not sure with which one it works, but it DOES! Thanx!

Hi all,
does anyone have an idea how would the key combo go for a Croatian keyboard. I'm also struggling to make the scaling cheat work. The funny thing is that I see the [ and ] on my keyboard, under letters F and G and I can type the [ and ] characters even inside sims, but the combination of shift + altgr + G simply doesn't do the trick.
Thanx in advance.
Regards,
Lovre

Hi,
me again, never mind, ignore the above. I've solved the issue by switching to an English keyboard layout in windows. The ] is just one key under the eng. keyboard...Đ and now shift + Đ works.
hope this helps someone.

@Phantomlover1717 i was just scrolling through these comments and advice's and nothing worked, i was reading them while trying them out on the sims, and i came across yours seeing that yours was quite different to the others. I have an English keyboard but i'm on a laptop so i don't have the [+] on its self. I tried out yours and saw that it worked, im so happy for this and thanks for the advice you give to everyone. I can finally continue with my builds and resize them. =)

Now that sizing down is possible, and there was not a option for this on a Nordic keyboard before (we had to undo the changes with ctrl-z to resize them), I'' just post for whoever want's to know in the future, that to make objects smaller you use ctrl-´ , the button on the left to backspace.
Nordic keyboard object resizing
1. Sizing up: Ctrl-Å
2. Sizing down: Crtl-´
Happy simming!

I have tried every combination I could find on the internet bu nothing works for me when it comes to scaling stuff down. I have a swedish keyboard and a mac computer. The Å works for scaling stuff up but I get so jealous watching other simmers scaling stuff down to fit the room. I have tried switching to other kayboardsettings (Brittish, US, US international) but nothing happens. Am I suppose to change the settings inside the game somewhere? What am I doing wrong?

On PC it is the key just above right of Å that scales things down.
If that is not the case on Mac then I suggest you ask in the Sims Mac forum.

Saaaame, i don't have a swedish keyboard but just a normal english or dutch one(they are the same). Usually ] worked, it worked yesterday after i downloaded the patch, but now it just doesnt work anymore..

Same keys as are used in Windows except that ctrl is not needed.
I have tried that and it doesn't work so I decided to play around and try few different keys on my that's Icelandic (even though I have set it as English) and found out that Ð makes it smaller and ? bigger you don't have to hold shift down just grab the object. I let a picture of my keyboard follow.
I have a French keyboard and I used the shift +^
The ^ next to the P, not with the 9
thank you so much this helped me! and have a finnish/nordic keyboard
THANK YOU SO MUCH! 😁😁😁
