Re: How do you make households outside of the world?

@MillieMiro If you make any household a non-played household it should be treated like a townie by the game. In a particular 'game save' go to 'Manage Households'. All households you have played, edited or placed will show up under the "My Households" tab and will have a blue heart. All households you have not played, edited or placed will show up under the "Other Households" tab and will have a white/empty heart with a blue outline. Households can be moved between the "My Households" tab and the "Other Households" tab by clicking on the heart to make it solid blue or not. Actually, I believe that both "My Households" and "Other Households" will appear autonomously in your game in the towns when you are not playing the household.

@SheriGR Will this still keep my house hold member in the family in which they were created with as long as keeping their brothers and sisters?

@TGWJessica There should be no issues with your family splitting up/moving in/out of your 'My Households' (your played households/the ones with the blue heart) by you creating other households and 'unfavoriting' (take off the blue heart) them so they are just unplayed townies. The only time I have heard of people complaining about 'important' things/events (marriage, moving out, having a baby, dying, aging up, etc.) happening to their sims when they were not playing the household is when they had aging on for non-active households (the households you are not currently playing at any given time) or when they had a Mod that let these things happen. If you turn aging off for non-active households/sims, they will not move out of their own accord unless you have them them move out while playing a household or split/merge the household in CAS.
But...if you are playing a different household you could cause one of the other sims in the game (your played sims or townies) to move out of their household and into the household you're playing. But you are still in charge of this, because it will not happen if you don't initiate it. Does that make sense? This is what will happen when marrying and okay-ing the move into the other household, etc., too.
