@crinrictI tested for it, doesn't seem to be the case. Even if the sim is designated to sit before using the computer, she still cancels the interaction to instead play guitar, use a microphone, etc.

Same, but for me the problem seems to be the desk-chair combinations. If it's a desk from desks sections + desk chair = no problem, sims use the computer if told or autonomioulsy.
If it's dining chair + desk, or dining chair + dining table, or desk chair + dining table = they won't use unless seated first.
I actually exploit this to avoid videogames addiction in my sims :D
