Madden 24 kicking meter bug during kickoffs and field goals (PlayStation 5)

Summarize your bug Kick meter: The first press of the X-button does not register as the meter is raising and I do not get the white bar or hear the click sound. Instead, it happens at the second button press as the kick meter is going down. On kickoffs, my kicker either kicks the ball short to my opponent's 35-30-yard line or shanks it out of bounds which drives a penalty. It also happens during field goals as well. I kick the ball short very frequently on the longer distances. It has gotten to the point where I just go for it on 4th down and I attempt a 2-point conversion after I score. This has never happened to me on any of the other madden versions even though I have been playing this game since it was on the PlayStation one. To troubleshoot the issue, I played against the computer for an entire game, and I practiced kickoffs and field goals in practice mode without any issues. My internet is not the problem. I start with a speed test with good results and it is connected to the router with a Cat-8 cable. The speed is pretty fast. This issue only happens in the online head-to-head mode so please help! Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? After scanning the reports it seems like I am not the only one.
What happens when the bug occurs? It happens when the kick meter is raising as I am attempting a kickoff or a field goal.
What do you expect to see? I expect the game respond whenever I click the X-button. At that time I should see a white bar to reflect the power of the kick and hear a click sound to let me know that it recorded my response.
This picture is from an online game. It shows the top bar very close to the bottom bar. Even though I pressed the X-button at the peak of the power scale. The white bar did not show up until I clicked the X-button to setup my accuracy.
