I’ve tried going through Sony and they send me to EA. I have tried all of the EA tips and still nothing.

The PS5 allows you to download both versions of the game, so definitely have you both double-check that you're launching the same version.
- In regards of not seeing your friend on the list, try removing each other from your friends lists and re-add each other. I've seen that fix it.
- Make sure you have notifications/invites set to where you get invites. Some players that had invite issues over the years forgot they disabled invites for their PSN profile.
For the Multiplayer Games message, there is a Reddit thread on this where it could be related to your account's privacy settings.

We downloaded the on sale
christmas madden 21 game with downloadable content. Could that be the reason. He can play other random people online but not his friend.

The version that was purchased doesn't matter, it's only extra content that comes with MUT.

No it’s just his account. Just checked nba 2k21 and he was able to find his friends name. So I think this might be a madden issue.

Do you know if the friend he can't invite falls under the account privacy details I relayed above or has a PlayStation Plus membership? His friend is able to play with other kids so I think he should be all set. He is “close friends” on the account. Thanks for all of your help with this.

Have you all tried reaching out to our Support team to determine whether this could be account related? I'm not sure if if you're getting this on other EA games, but there are limitations on accessing online features for child accounts. That error message is related to strict privacy settings for PlayStation, so it's possible an account setting is restricting access.

Live-Support Yes. That’s the first place in checked. The customer support said I should be able to as they checked on the account. I then just deleted his accounts and gave him
mine with no restrictions and it still didn’t work. Sony then said to check with ea and ea said to check with Sony. Not sure where to go from here.
