Don't move the files, move the entire "Config" folder.
This way it is recreated at startup.

No joy. I returned the coalesced file to that folder, moved the Config folder to the desktop, started the game (and it started), went to the mission before the final firewalker mission (also the most recent save I kept), did that mission, then went to Hades Nexus, Hoplos, and the moon with the mission. EDI detected an anomaly, but after scanning, still no option to land. I think I am going to have to completely reinstall it. I'll move my saved games out to the desktop and stuff them back in place once that is done. HOPEFULLY that will work.
Thank you again for all the help, time, and suggestions. Cross your fingers that the reinstall works. - sak17764 years agoRising Traveler
Argh, lol, I'm so dumb. What's the location of the folder for LE ME2 Saved games again please? LOL Sorry. I work for the US government 8 days a week from home and my brain is bleeding, lol I don't remember my wife's name, much less the location of these files. Heh Thanks again.
@sak1776 Look here:
Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME2
The actual save files are in a subfolder with the name of your character, but you can save the entire ME2 folder if you want.
- sak17764 years agoRising Traveler@puzzlezaddict Thanks muchos! I reinstalled the game. I'm hoping it's fixed the problem I had with a non-appearing landing button. But I'm afraid that it's a problem with my saved game, in which case I am going to have to redo the ENTIRE game over if I want to complete Firewalker.
@sak1776 I hope it's fixed too, but if not, Holger1405 is the one to ask about it. I posted because I figured he was offline for the evening and thought you might want to keep working on this tonight.
- sak17764 years agoRising Traveler@puzzlezaddict Not fixed. I really can't imagine what could have done it except that I installed the mod manager to install one small mod -- the infinite sprint thing. What a pain. Thanks, though.
So the fresh installation made no difference?

Nope. ☹️
OK, we did anything we could do in regards to the game, so lets have a look at the rest of the system.
Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.
Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled.
Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.

I will. I promise. But in a few days.
Yesterday was my B-day. I turned 60. Sort of a milestone for me, as I expected to die by the time I was 40.
I work for the US Census Bureau, but I only work one survey (they have about 30 going at a time, yearly), and this is my insane work week. I work about 60 hours per month, but it's confined to a 10 day period. And I'm right in the middle of it. I'm actually writing this from my car in-between locations. LOL Anyhow, I WILL do as you're saying. Just not right now. Thank you! Have you used the Trilogy Save Editor? If you edited the contents of your cabin, make sure that you uncheck the Firewalker Relic option. If it is checked, it won't let you land on the moon. Uncheck it and save it, then reload that save.
my dude you are a lifesaver, thanks xo this worked for me.
