How do you get rid of add ons

Origin blows. Steam is so much more user friendly it is incomprehensible that anyone uses this #!@$%!@^% system to do anything.

Is it possible to remove add ons from ME2. I want to get rid of the Genesis add on thing because it runs every single time I import a character and it's annoying. The only choice I get to make is the very last choice of who I would support as the next counselor seat thing. 

Does this game work on steam with out the origin/cloud/other !#@$!#% that nobody wants? Really fed up at this point. I used to love this series of games... back when I could actually modify what was going on with it. This is just !#@%!^^ ridiculous. I don't think I will purchase another EA game here. I hope I can get the new ME4 game on Steam, I'm sure it will function 100000000000X better than this piece of !#%^#%!^# platform. UGGGGG!!!

I am a hard core fan of Mass Effect - Origin ruins the game to the point of discuss. PLEASE PUT THIS GAME OUT ON STEAM where normal people can configure and use the game as games are intended to be used.
