I am still unable to join any of my friends game invites or join session in progress the game its stii saying unable to connect to friend's game.

@XGRIFTER Are you trying to join friends that are on your EA App list, or the console friends list?
Trying to join through the console on a xbox series x on the 360 dashboard

@XGRIFTER Ahh gotcha, it's been a hot minute since I've looked at that screen. Do they show up and if they do when you try to connect, or they try to connect with you, can you show me what happens?
Typically other than like being blocked, or one or both profiles are private, on console, there isn't much that would prevent this from connecting. https://www.xbox.com/play/media/PYPY2QHP9H
Unable to do a video capture
I accept or join a friend game everything works normal until the end when it says unable to connect to friend's game
Found a way to join my friends is to set up a lobby we have been doing it this freebase Giant, Cerberus, Platinum and then the other persons just got in to match making.

@XGRIFTER That is good that the lobby part works. I would suggest trying this from both sides to see if it syncs up and then lets you in. I would also try to restore any settings to default and trying those same steps again and see if doing this helps. With the age of the game, there's not a lot to look at other than changing settings for this. If no permissions were changes or privacy settings, makes that a bit more tough to solve.
I am having the same issue. I am unable to connect to friends games and they are unable to connect to my game. Everything will go through correctly until the very end where it'll say "Cannot join friend's game".

Not that I'll have an answer for you, but might be worth giving @EA_Shepard more info to work with:
1) Platform: (PC/XBOX/PS)?
2) Where you able to previously join invite games? If so, when did it no longer work? And was it related to anything else that changed (like @XGRIFTER noting that there was a immediately preceding server issue?)
3) to both of you:
Any other symptoms/problems? Like:
3a) Is your N7HQ still FULLY working?
3b) Do you now get frequent drops from games/lobbies ("your connection to the game has been lost")?
No setting have changed as I have gone through everyone's setting with them everything is the same
This all started when the we all got kicked off and could not connect to the servers for 15 minutes it was saying they were done
Currently the only way we can play together is buy setting up a custom lobby and. End using the same setting to search for it in match making

Over this last weekend the game started to give me a sign in change occurred and net work error in the game
- @XGRIFTER same issue across all consoles in all the EA games it seems. im pc and i can't join any of my friends games in mass effect 3, mass effect andromeda, dragon age inquisition and so on. even seen people can't connect to friends in the battlefront forums. EA isn't fixing the issues and then just tell us to uninstall and reinstall the EA app (for PC users) and if your a console player is a shoulder shrug and a pat on the back
Having this issue on PC ... have not been able to join friends and doing search, we appear to be region locked, so folks from different regions can't join in a search.
This issue is posted for PC, but no EA response to date; posting here because it at least looks like EA is reading the issue for Xbox.

I am also having this issue. I have not attempted to join a friend's game since being forced to the EA App. Prior to that, my partner and I played on Origin together often.
We're both PC, both played together previously, nothing changed in terms of our settings (unless you count the changed app we have to go through but it changed for both of us), or even our PCs. It's all exactly the same. The game loads just fine, including all DLC being properly accounted for and existing saves opening without issue. The game connects to the EA servers. Both of our in-game overlays are on.
We receive the invites. We accept the invites. We've even tried doing it with the game closed for the person getting the invite, in which case the invite is accepted and the game is launched. We get to pick our character and sit through a load screen. And then we get "unable to join friend's game". Every time.
We've tried with a VPN for one of us since we live in the same household. We've tried without VPNs. We've, as I said above, tried with me sending the invite or him sending the invite. We've tried with one game completely closed.
Absolutely nothing works to get ME3 multiplayer working with the EA App even though it worked fine in Origin. This is just one of numerous problems since this horrid migration was forced upon people. At what point is it deemed a failure and sunk cost and your customers actually are able to interact with their content properly again?
