"unable to retrieve galaxy at war status"

"unable to retrieve galaxy at war status". Last post on this was 2016 and said EA had solved the issue. Was working fine then installed ALOT and things went FUBAR. Uninstalled and reinstalled, flushed caches of all types so many times my computer doesn't know if it should restart or keep running! Also issue with :From Ashes" DLC not download even though it has downloaded for years. Did the whole Origin thing X10. Got DLC to download, exited Origin, logged back in and the DLC had the same issue and disappeared from the DLC folder (I made a backup first). Game all vanilla now and have the same GAW Map Failed To Retrieve Data No System Connection issue, yet, game is connected to the EA Servers. Whats up with this?

Thanks ShadowBoomer

  • @ShadowBoomer One thing I noticed was that when I loaded one of my old saves on the Normandy and went into the War Room area, my Galaxy at War readiness was 100%.

I tried resyncing as suggested on the N7 HQ multiple times and even logged out and back into Origin. Still not showing G@W status in Multiplayer.
  • Thanks. Can't use old saves because the DLC: From Ashes will not download any more, so the saves wont load. Just uninstalled everything including all folders and save games. had no effect GAW map will not load...

Last week I noticed their Galaxy at War website was offline: http://n7hq.masseffect.com/galaxy_at_war/

After they came back, I could barely use the missions. Most of the time it would respond back that the servers were offline. Since three days I can't use any missions anymore. The service seems to be offline (also on other devices and networks). My ingame readiness rating is supposed to be at around 99%, but due to EAs servers being offline, its reduced back to 50%. I suppose we'll have to wait and hope...

  • Thank You. I have had ME3 N7 Digital Deluxe Edition since release. In all that time I never had an issue with the DLC not downloading or GAW Map load problems (even though I am connected to the EA servers). So, what has changed in all these years to cause all these problems? Why do the issues persist even after numerous complete uninstalls were done? Its like something was written to the stack that is not removed when the game is uninstalled.

I don't play multiplayer too many 10 year old's and others that behave like they are 10 years old have lead to many negative experiences. So, I modified the Coalesced.bin war assets to compensate for not playing in multiplayer mode while increasing all war assets X 5 and one withe war assets X 10 for speed runs. It worked like a charm for years yet now the game has all the above issues. And they persists even though everything has been uninstalled and reinstalled many times. The game is completely vanilla and still won't run correctly!

Do any EA moderators out there have any answers?

    Thanks

    @ShadowBoomer

Galaxy at war is down for everyone itm.

    For Shadow broker:

Try to clear your Origin cache.
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

    • Close Origin completely.
(right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
    • Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder.
(The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
    • Delete the "Mass Effect 3" folder inside the "LocalContent" folder.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
    • Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder.
    • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder.
    • In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on "AppData".
    • Open the "Local" folder.
    • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder.
    • Restart your PC. > test
  • @ShadowBoomer Yeah got the same problem. I can still play multiplayer, but a bit concerned that War Readiness is now stuck on 50%. Not sure what other consequences are there but it's not good. Is there any info from Bioware about this?

It seems this issue has been resolved; I am now able to access Galaxy at War info in-game.
