Re: Multiple graphical problems

@Alca051

Updating or reinstalling your video drivers may help in addition to setting your GPU defaults via its control panel.

Thanks.

  • @EA_Barry Tried all of that, but the game keeps deteriorating in performance and graphics over time. Restarting the game resets it. Temperatures and loads are normal (on my end anyway). Only this game has this issue for me.

    It usually starts with small corruptions in textures/images, like map icons or license plates, and then it progress into other areas. Sometimes even into really weird psychedelic scenes making it unplayable. Restarting game resets it.
  • Has anyone tried deleting all the caches (not just the cache folder, but also the shader cache) and got good results? I tried that late last night, but not long enough to see if it fixed anything.

    So both Program Files/EA Games/Need For Speed Unbound/shadercache and and Documents/Need For Speed (TM) Unbound/cache

    Hello!

    So even after completely cleaning out my existing graphics drivers with DDU and reinstalling the most recent Nvidia update, I had the graphical artifacts return this evening.

    I've attached a screenshot of what my main menu ended up looking like just before I quit the game. Restarting the game does resolve this issue like others mentioned here.

    In-game, I'll start to see what looks like textures not loading, or loading incorrectly. In one instance I saw a traffic vehicle with only the sides and top of the vehicle loaded (the rest see-through). The main bug that is a sign that things are about to get much worse is that within my mini-map, portions of it start to turn into multi-colored pixels instead of the map.

    For a moment it seemed like the driver update did the trick, but things still definitely start to degrade after an hour of play or so.

    I've also attached a dxdiag file in case it helps.

    Some part of me is wondering if it's a storage issue? I'm planning to monitor my ssd temperature during my next session.

  • Also getting this issue. For me it seems to be a VRAM leaking issue. I watch my CPU & GPU temps and performance alongside the RAM use during game and it slowly builds... Often when it reaches a certain level after an hour or so of gameplay it ends in all the graphical wierdness many are experiencing.

    Other than that the game runs perfect. No stuttering 60fps if capped with no dropping.

    I have found that turning some of the settings to reduce RAM use improves the length of time before becoming unplayable.
