The pricing in the game is ridiculous. If you had to buy everything in the game, it would run into the thousands. When you think major AAA console games are £60-100 for everything, this amount for a mobile game is crazy.
I think it's because it's free to play so they have to milk the paying customers. In mobile, these big spending players are called whales and some are willing to pay hundreds/thousands.
I'd rather they had more reasonable prices. I would buy car upgrade packs at £5 each. I'd buy the highest gold amount if it was £20 rather than £100. Chop shop items should cost less, flip gold amount should be less.
EA makes these choices based on the revenue they see. If a lot of players aren't paying then they depend on the big spenders. There's someone in the forum here who has spent about 600 euros on the game. If the prices were lower, they wouldn't have spent that and EA would have to get more players willing to pay.
I think they've gone way overboard with the pricing here. I paid for gold in the game and the upgrade pack prices are just laughable.
It would be better if they offered steep discounts for people who have already paid money or reached a certain Rep so that it discourages new players buying big packs and levelling up too quickly.
