I have the same issue as OP. No error codes and problem has already been for a few days.
Online pvp works fine but when loading to online free roam, the loading screen seems to complete amd then I get black screen with about a half a second of music (i think the garage music starts to play but stops immediately).
After about 30s - 1min of black screen I'm back at the main menu appearing offline.
Today I actually got an error message FTLC5001.
No error messages at all
I also can't share wraps at all
EA_IlliumCan you provide more details on the following?
- Do you have any DLC installed?
- How many wraps and cars do you have unlocked?
- Are you playing with any mods?
For the Error Code FTCL5001, you can try the following workaround:
SpoilerA temporary work around for this issue if you have any DLC/ Packs installed is to uninstall one of them, reload in and this should re-sync the inventory.
Launch the game and go to free roam and attempt to enter the map. If this works, then close off everything fully and reinstall the DLC again and it should work from then on.

I have vol7 and 8 installed
I have everything unlocked, own 131 cars and about 95+ wraps
I'm on ps5 so no mods
Also deleting a DLC did not work
Now I'm getting the F03 when I try pvp... so the game is completely unplayable now

I also had +100 cars in my garage. I researched the issue a little bit and seems that number of cars in garage is the cause for the issue.
I sold around 20 cars now only having around 90 and everything seems to work. Not getting the error anymore.
But this is a huge bug in the game. Having over 100 cars in multiplayer is not that much especially with all the special editions, dlcs, multiple different tiers and event types.
Sadly the only way I can sell cars is if I have all my dlc deleted.... so when I add it back it puts me back over 100... allready sold 20+ cars... even at 98 cars still getting both issues.... im at a loss

When will a fix be available?
I tried uninstalling a couple DLCs - Didn’t fix
I tried selling the Porsche and VW - Didn’t fix
I only have 124 cars and 75 wraps
Did a Uninstall and fresh install still did nothing still getting f03 error and unable to play with DLC on
The only way to play free roam is to sell all cars in story mode, also delete the extra wraps, it worked for me, installed all the DLC and still able to play free roam right now; but still the car garage limit should be increased to 400 so that this issue doesn’t persist.
