Most likely since you are located in Africa you are not finding many players. I'm in the EU and still get placed alone sometimes, so the issue is definitely location based.
Honestly, there is nothing much you can do.

The thing is, I've been playing the game for almost two years and haven't had this issue before, when it has occurred before, it was fixed by clearing the cache, so if my location is the issue, why hasn't it been the issue for the last 2 years I've been playing? I'm hoping they can report this to the devs since the game's content is 99% online and is pointless without other players, maybe they broke something while the game was being prepared for Amazon Luna
UPDATE: Issue seems to have solved itself for now, I can get into populated lobbies again
