- THEJAJO10 years agoSeasoned HotshotFinally I was able to win in 5.4 hunter race, after about 10 try's, however it was easier this time.
Could anyone explain it why in the previous races my opponent had been unbeatable and now he was? Please look at times. My time also is not so good. It is impossible to tell. Seems like you did something different, for example:
- Upgraded parts (especially acceleration and nitro parts)
- Drifted intelligently (not more, not less)
- Took the corners properly (with minimal steering)
- Saved your nitro and used it on the straighter part of the track
- Skipped (sacrificed) the jump in order gain more acceleration
- Did not touch/hit/scratch the walls, or your opponent
All of these things count when you face high PR opponent on shorter races.
- Anonymous10 years agoFinally did it, I upgraded all parts to 4 stars and then finish the event to keep the car. The only gold spent was 160 for two convertion kits
- THEJAJO10 years agoSeasoned HotshotNo, I didn't anything different. I was driving almost always the same. In the last race my opponent was significantly slower than earlier, about 0.3 sec. - I have reasons to be angry! ;|
With the first Fastlane special event ended, I want to do two things.
First, I want to congratulate anyone who had completed the first Fastlane special event and got the Nissan 180SX Type X. Kudos to you! (I got the Nissan 180SX Type X too)
Second, I want to sympathize to anyone who had trouble winning the two pesky Hunter races and didn't complete the first Fastlane special event on time. I really feel sorry for you guys.
I guess you guys would call this "The first FailLane special event".
Hopefully the issues in this Fastlane special event won't happen on the second Fastlane special event.

The videos are useless as he clearly bought his car. 630PR of course he's going to win, he's not even driving well.@the4thviewer It's not entirely useless.
You can see in the videos that he drifts very slightly to maintain speed and overtook his opponent on the outside.

Forgot to mention, the usual drift and nitro. Don't think much different from my previous tries except I got a really long jump somehow and more nitro due to that. Time is 25.29 to 25.39. I even overtook on the outside.@icearmor Kudos to you!

The biggest problem I see is that if you do not upgrade your engine to blue in the early stages, you may struggle with these two previously mentioned hunter races. After Day 1, I kept watching the store for engine, turbo, and gearbox conversion kits to go on sale for 12,500 credits and bought them. Usually the game provides only one kit during the challenges so that gets you to green. So it's more important to farm credits than parts...that's why the replayable credit reward challenge in chapter 3 is so important...plus you can refresh the store for 1000 credits...still time to finish the challenge with the use of some gold of course! Just play the credit reward and use any refreshes you have for the challenge and then hit up the store...remember that the engine and turbo are the two most important parts!!!@scottfollett Now that's funny because I only got one useful item from refreshing the Fastlane store with 30,000 Event Credits. I got trolled HARD by the Fastlane store.
