Re: Speedlink Drift OZ race wheel pedals will not work at default settings?
I fixed my problem by changing the race wheel from direct input to XInput by pressing the mode button on the wheel. Everything works but the shift knob on the wheel did not work, I had to use a program called Xinput Plus to change the buttons and I fully got it working perfect. It takes some time to reconfigure the buttons with the program Xinput Plus.
If you have the same race wheel as me which is a Speedlink Drift OZ here is some tips to configuring Xinput Plus.
1. Start Xinput Plus.
2. Click on the setting tab.
3. Click Dll Files tab and under Installed Files click and check XInput1_4.dll, in the same window make sure you click and check 64bit version (64).
4. Now go to the Vibration tab, you can change the vibration settings here.
5. Click back to KeyAssign tab which is the default tab that you start with, here you can configure the buttons.
6. After that you will have to select the EXE of the game for XInput Plus to work with Need for Speed Heat. Click the Select button in the top right of the program and then find NeedForSpeedHeat.exe select it then click open.
7. Once you configure all buttons make sure you click apply at the bottom. Every time you change the buttons you will have to apply them by clicking Apply.
8. To make the shifting knobs work change RB to X and LB to Y, then assign X and Y button to none, very Important.
Steps from 1 to 3 will configure the program to use the correct XInput file so it will work with Need for Speed Heat.
I hope you all have fun and these steps are for the Speedlink Drift OZ Race Wheel.
