Re: directx function "hr1" failed with DXGI ERROR DEVICE REMOVED....

@theshadowdprince

First, download the following video driver uninstall utility:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

Then download the most up to date drivers for your hardware/OS combo:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Run the uninstall utility to remove all video drivers. Once done, install the newly downloaded drivers and try playing again.

Let us know how you get on with this, thanks.

  • Dear all,

       The error still persists on my PC, which is above the recommended configurations for Need For Speed 2015, and it isn't playable. I already have it for a couple of weeks, constantly having problem running it, problems such as: directx issues, it doesn't recognize my GPU (Nvidia GTX 950m), some ".dll's" are missing, and so on. It is most unpleasant and I am thinking not to buy EA - related games anymore. You are on the verge to loose another client. Please help us solve this old problem once and for all!

    I am having the same problem with both Need for Speed and PVZ: Garden Warfare 2. It is so annoying because I can run Titanfall 2 on my PC but not these two games. If you make any progress with EA (Which is highly unlikely), can you post the solution in this thread please.

    Thanks,

    Alex
