Also is it the stick lift button that negates it? I know poke check doesn't work. I've been in perfect position to stop it multiple times and still had it release in front of me. Can't figure out what control stops it? Hitting???
If you are playing as a defender, hitting is the only thing that works for me. Not sure what goalies can do to stop it. The cpu goalies just watch it go in the net at slow motion.

Weird they'd choose hitting to check a stick. Very odd decision.
I don't think the michigan/lacrosse goal itself needs much tweaking (i never use it anyway and don't really care how badly it gets nerfed), its the goalies that need a complete overhaul. They are atrocious
At this point forget nerfing it - just get rid of it entirely considering how incredibly rare it happens in the NHL. The better the players overalls get as HUT releases better cards, the easier it is going to be able to perform and it is already ridiculously easy to pull off. Just nonsense that the dev team thought it should be something so easy to pull off.
I don't think they should get rid of the lacrosse goal entirely. Just go back to making it extremely difficult to pull off like in 23.If they can't fix that, they should at least fix the CPU goalie detection and reaction time of the lacrosse.
So, we are in about a month now in Lacrosse 24. EA still hasn't done anything about this. I change my mind about getting rid of the move. If EA can't fix this, then EA needs to remove the move entirely or replace it with something else. One button to do a lacrosse goal is ridiculous and players will constantly attempt it and likely land it ever time. Please work on this.

It was fixed today. What’s the problem?
It wasn't fixed. That's the problem. I can, with a 90 deke skill, pull off the lacrosse 100% of the time. It should be even with a 90 deke skill, 1 of 10 attempts it gets off the ice. One button is also just not a smart setting for one of the rarest deke shots in the world. Lacrosse 24.
