Really sorry to hear that. It sounds like a pretty serious issue, so I probably can't help that much, but make sure you try the basic troubleshooting steps such as:
- Wiping or polishing the disc if it is scratched or dirty and keeping your console clean.
- Make sure to update the system if necessary!
You could also try starting Hot Pursuit offline or online by un/plugging the internet connection to the PS3.
