Are you both using the Hybrid controls? If so can you try Skill Stick and see if it still happens?

Multiplayer, cooperative in franchise mode.
Hybrid controls.
Player 2 button (X) pass function does not work, but the dotted line to direct the pass appears. The only way to pass the puck when the error occurs is to use R1 saucer pass.Very frustrating.

BI get it on Xbox Series S all the time. Skill stick controls, on both Elite controller and normal controller.
Lately Ive been getting an issue where I can’t pass or shoot or even move at all for a couple seconds. It happens in EASHL when I receive the puck but only occasionally, maybe a few times a game

I tested, this happens when pressing R2 + another key at the same time. For example, I have an "X" assigned to additional buttons. When pressed in one tick, the pass is stuck (switching players to)
Same with triangle, R3, L2 - EA_Aljo
Are you lagging at all? Also, are you pressing other buttons in combination with R2 as @bruanor09 mentioned?
- @dlf0c8lj0f5w We have this happen at least a few times a night. We play Xbox X/s and play about 5 games a night 6's club.
@Spawnessjdo your club members get the issue where your player can’t pass until there is a whistle? Or do you get the one where your skater can’t do anything except glide very subtly for a few seconds after you receive the puck? I used to get the passing one but now I get this new one that is infinitely worse.
@EA_Aljo no I am not lagging and I know all of the controls and have played the game for a million years. There literally is an issue in this game where your player just can’t pass when you get the puck. I’ve heard several people complain about and also some of my friends have gotten it occasionally. Some nights it happens a few times a game, some nights not at all.

- @dlf0c8lj0f5w Mainly we get the passing issue, last night my buddy got the puck and the Right trigger stop working completely for him, once he got bumped off the puck and our cpu got it he tried calling for it and that didn't work either. While the play was still in progress I had him pause the game( during game so we wouldn't have to waist our time out) and then un-pause it and it worked fine. This has happened to us at least once a night.
