Re: NHL 24 Reveal
@KidShowtime1867I partly agree.. the streamers are bringing more popularity to an otherwise underwhelming product though. This game had regressed if anything from 22 to 23.. yet streamers like Nasher are persistent to pump out content. I'd argue that it's pretty entertaining content at that. He also plays roller hockey so I'd argue he's not a bad person to give feedback having both an understanding of the sport and knowing the ins and outs of the game. I think he sometimes abuses some of the games mechanics but anyone with online success is doing the same and it's not to say he enjoys taking advantage of a poor system.
All that being said I think having a former pro or something watching and giving feedback would help this dev team a lot. Also having a former goalie jumping in and helping them with how they would read and react.
My only complaint in the video posted above is that they say "yeah we hear you, we didn't add what you asked for but we heard it. We will give you new ways to tell us what you want but it may be a long time before you ever see it because it's hard" I mean.. what were they busy with between 22 and 23??? They also said they haven't been there long? How long has the dev team been there? I also noticed they said "we cant answer everything we see online" where are they answering anything??? I also hate that every year we seem to give more offensive tools and hinder defense more.
I did like the looks of the animations shown in that video though. Looked like some net front battles that have needed a little work.. I'm gonna try to keep an open mind and see what 24 looks like. EA has LOST the benefit of the doubt but I'll give it a fair assessment.
I keep seeing these streamers saying how different it feels and I WANT to believe them but it's just so hard to believe anything with the history. Looking forward to the test. Maybe I'll get an opportunity to try it.
