Hello, everyone.
Make sure you download and install both the game and the update before loading into the game. Do not load into it before both the full game and update have been downloaded and installed. For now, this is the only workaround we're aware of. We are still investigating a fix and will update as soon as we have more details.
- @EA_Aljo I tried this it doesn't work unfortunately seems like I just need to wait until its fixed. Payed for the extra 3 days for nothing it seems.
I try your solution, but it still doesn't work. And, after downloading the game. There was no update available.
I would like to reming you, i can see my hut team name in rush mode, despite the fact that i failed to get the starter pack in hut.
This is absolutely unacceptable. Your phone agents have done nothing at all for this problem. We all should get refunds of our pre-order play early price. Still happening since 12am EST for me..

I just finished deleting and reinstalled for the 4th time today. This time I ran NHL20 while NHL21 was downloading to make absolutely sure it wasn't starting on it's own or something before finished. The download finished, I quit NHL20 and checked for updates on NHL21 before starting - it said I had the latest version. I still have the same problem with HUT. I am done trying this.
I just want to be assured that the EA development team is actually aware of and working on this? I haven't seen anything posted on EA's support page about this specific problem - just lots of other problems. I am not assured since I opened multiple tickets on this problem today that were all closed with a status of "fixed" prematurely. If there aren't many of us actually having this problem, we may not get a fix for days/weeks. ☹️

Here's what I've just found on the EA support site about refunds:
"What if my new game doesn't work?
If you buy a new EA game within 30 days of its release date and can’t play it due to problems outside of your control — like server issues, bugs, or other technical problems that are on our side — you can request a refund within 72 hours after you first launch the game instead of 24."
I plan on pursuing this if it isn't working tomorrow. I love NHL HUT, so I'll try to return this expensive version I got for early access and just get the base game when the bug is fixed.
