Try updating your DNS servers. From the Xbox One home screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4. Let me know what happens.

Sounds good. If that doesn't help, can you check your router and see if UPnP is enabled? Also, check the network settings on your console and see what the IPv is. If it's on 6 or both 4 and 6, try changing that to just 4. Instructions for that are here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-pc.

@EA_Aljo so. Did all the stuff and played through a couple times. The servers for me go down every 25 minutes. So as long as i play in that time i dont get booted. Basically means i have to play a game and back out. Annoying still but i can at least play 1 game

@EA_Aljo do you know of a contact number i can call. Ive gone through the online chatbox * 5 or 6 times now and its disconnected me a bunch of times. I just need someone to help me. Youve given me more tips then those ea chatboxes have

Are you always disconnecting every 25 minutes? Like clockwork? Do you reconnect or do you have to restart your internet to get back online? Have you tried updating your router's firmware? Also, do you have a PC by chance? If so let’s find out how your connection is reaching our servers. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot me the results? Instructions here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/.

@EA_Aljo i already updated my firmware and ran uotrace everything was okay it is attached. If you wanna hear some crazy [profanity removed] last night i was playing and for some reason i was like what if its just my account. So i used my buddy(i game share with) and i didnt get disconnected. So i try using my own xbox live and making my home xbox mine again and NHL works fine. Its like it would check my xbox live credentials mid game and disconnect cuz i didnt have it personally or something

Your UO Trace is showing some pretty high worst pings. That can cause you to lag and disconnect. Did you run this test on a wireless connection? You should be running it on a wired connection since that is what you play on.
You should be able to gameshare just fine. That's really interesting. I'm not aware of any issues that would cause this to happen due to gamesharing, but it seems like that's involved. I know there are many people that gameshare though so I would think we'd hear about this more if that were the case. Can you leave your Xbox as the home one or do you need to go back to gamesharing?

@EA_Aljo My pings are fine on the xbox. i also talked to some people with the same problem and it fixed theirs too. I think it might be an issue in the server possibly? I would like to not have to keep this as my home xbox i have game shared for like 4 years. Im going to try to switch it back and see if it reverts or not.

Can you run that test again and run it wired this time? It's pretty important.
We're not aware of any sever issues that would cause people gamesharing to have this problem. I personally know people that gameshare and don't experience this. So, it's possible this is a coincidence, but it might be a unique issue also. Regardless, your UO Trace is showing results that would cause you to disconnect so it would be good to get another test, but on your wired connection.

@EA_Aljo i usually play on wireless. but since i was having issues so i switched to wired it made no difference. Since i switched hm xbox ive been playing for 3 hrs with no disconnect

Disconnects and lag are to be expected on wireless connections. Looking at your UO Trace, I can see why this is happening. Can you run the test on a wired connection so I can see if there's a difference?
- KeaganM666 years agoRising Novice
@EA_Aljo there. Its much better but i had it wired and it didnt help anything

Can you run the test again and follow all the instructions. You sent only 3 packets. I also need to see the full test. Thanks!
