Re: ECHL players disappearing in Franchise Mode

While I agree we should keep ECHL players, this is also how I retire guys out of the league when updating my rosters and fixing this issue would take that away from me. 😡

I wish they included ECHL in franchise mode as well.
Every year at least one decent prospect is difficult to find because they are on an ECHL roster.
@kyl_35 i use the international teams to get guys out of the league.

Yeah, what was the point of including the ECHL if it wasn't going to be integrated in to Franchise mode? Were there tons of people begging for a Play Now ECHL matchup?

The ECHL must be paying EA to be included or something. No way they're paying for that license.

Actually the ECHL has been adamant about not letting EA profit from player names and likeness.

The last time I read something about it, it had to do with American Players in college not being professionals and thus not allowed to sign away their rights.

So, this one isn't on EA, its on the ECHL

  • @IrishOwl if the ECHL does not want EA to have the rights to their players, why does EA have the right to their players? I think you've been confused with NCAA.

The ECHL has been in NHL games for a while, yet the league is always neglected from Franchise Mode, which is a shame because of the decent prospects playing in the league, and it being a growth opportunity for future prospects.

You are correct, I was talking about the NCAA. (Too many acronyms to remember all the time).
