Re: Armor/Shields are Frustrating in Apex

@EvBattle

I think you got the damage per bullet calculations wrong. You will break a purple armor with 9 body hits with a R99 (109 dmg) and only 5 shots with a Flatline for instance.... Use stacking damage numbers in option if you are unsure how much dmg you actually make during a spray.

People tend to overestimate their combat effectiveness when they have a purple armor, and underestimate it when having a white. Sure, its not wise to go full on frontal ADS-battle against a purple if you have white, but as long as you get the first few shots on him without him able to react, then its fair game. The difference between a white and a purple/gold armor is literally 2.5 body shots with a flatline, 4.2 body shots with an R99, 3.6 with an R301, 1.1 with the Wingman and just one body shot with a Longbow.

His biggest advantage then is IF you let him heal up. And its your choice if you let them heal up for 8 seconds. Whenever you break an armor, you just gained an advantage and its your choice if you want this advantage to be either one less shield battery for him, or a potential knock if you choose to push, which ofc is an even greater advantage.

    It takes at least two shots to break a purple shield with a longbow.
