Re: Cheating

Hey all, please do not share links to any cheats you may see as doing so is technically a breach of the AHQ User Rules and Guidelines. If from this point on, anyone shares any videos of suspected cheating or names another user accusing them of cheating then they will be facing a ban.

If you are in game and suspect a user of cheating then please report them by following the steps in this link:  https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/apexlegends/contact/report/

We take all reports very seriously and will fully investigate.

Due to privacy laws @Qrizz-Morden, once a report is made you will not hear any details back in relation to the investigation or outcome.

  • We shouldn't have to report cheaters you should implement software that will do it and EAC is a joke it has been around too long and is outdated it can be duped easily. Why should the public do your Jobs Last I checked EA don't send me a check. We the players don't always have the ability to prove a person is cheating because we all aren't recording every one of our games. And the only way you EA would ban people is with that kind of proof otherwise it is moot.

I would be willing to bet that EA don't do anything about it.If they did they would say who got banned because there is a law called Freedom of Information Act and I think we should be able to see who is cheating the gaming industry needs to shame these people. But they wont because they still pay money in the long run so it is still revenue.

if sharing videos of cheaters is technically a breach of the AHQ User Rules and Guidelines then the AHQ user rules and guidelines are technically a breach of the freedom of information laws.

  • I believe freedom of information laws only apply to governmental agencies. That being said, from what I understand, privacy laws do NOT apply to front facing usernames. If they did, no one would be able to post gameplay footage from multiplayer games. Public forums and online games are essentially  in the public view, there can be no expectation of privacy in public. If this wasn't the case, players could sue for their name's being posted across the kill feed, or bans being broadcast in other games.  If a person has been PROVEN to be cheating, there is no wrong doing in stating that they are doing so or banned for doing so.

  • yeah i clicked this for a nice error code when i tried to report one. works great
