Re: Did I have an unusual experience or is Apex's community the most toxic ever?

Played league for 6 years while in game chat could get toxic never had anyone try to follow me after game and harass me. And more recently been playing Smite with multiple communities in discord and have never had a problem although to be fair i am much better at smite. Mayby it's just a competitive fps thing i don't play to many of those except for class based shooters and i'm guessing the only reason the Overwatch community doesn't behave this way, at least not to the degree where i can play the game for an hour and run into not only a flamer but one who wants to follow me around, is because getting an overwatch account getting banned has actual consequences since the game cost 60$

(PC Player) Personally, i have not been on the Apex Discord, so cant say if this is common for on there. However i have played since launch (700hrs) and have dome countless games with randoms and very few have had a toxic team member.
I think you were just unlucky m8.
keep playing and don't use public discord where anyone can come and find you.
