Re: EAC Isn't Cutting It

EA is already working on a new anticheat, not sure if this will be used for Apex or when this AC is done.

@XHelperZ Ew... kernel level anti-cheat. I've already posted on the thread why I feel that way as well.

@DaleFox2012 Yeah, pretty much the problem as well in terms of the console players running strike packs or mods. The game is also losing players and the matchmaking is so broken that the top players aren't helping by being in lower lobbies.

Do note that EAC also runs at the kernel level.

Vanguard has it's kernel-level driver running from startup, whereas EAC only starts the kernel-level driver when booting up the game.

I think people always throw too much shade towards kernel-level anticheats, it's pretty much a requirement to have nowadays, otherwise it wouldn't really stand up to cheats making it possibly even easier to bypass.

@XHelperZ Oh that makes a bit of sense. Having it turned on from the start only helps ensure nothing got past it. Part of the problem with EAC though, is that people can get past it by somehow turning it off. I think Valorant's is more smart about it and gets flagged when the player tries to turn it off.
