Re: Fix Wingman

I agree and disagree with this. The wingman is very overpowered weapon when you hit with it, but that's the thing.. its REALLY hard weapon to constantly hit somebody with. Specially in long ranges its hard with the bullet drop. Maybe i could cope with the damage drop in long distances as you're right.. in the end its a pistol, but if you touch at medium distances (50-150m) you risk of making that gun the worst in game. It needs that high damage effect to be useful and i don't feel like wingman should be treated like a close quarters pistol as its so hard to aim with + the fire rate is very low. Its the medium range which makes it good, so please whatever you do DO NOT touch that range.

  • @Rouni_99Plus, even using it at longer range is difficult, as the most you can get on it is 2x,
I’ve tried to snipe with it, it is very difficult.

  • @Sir_Named Maybe for you.. But its really not that hard. Use the gun long enough, understand its bullet velocity, and you can place your shots pretty easily with a 2x or even iron sights (do it all the time) I hate this gun. It needs a bullet velocity nerf, needs to be slower so long range shots are MUCH harder even after getting used to it.

@SolitaryMassacre For sniping? It’s not just bullet drop, it’s the fact that 2x does next to nothing. The enemies are tiny dots, you can barely see them.
  • @Sir_Named Why are you so bent on sights man? Every time we get into a convo on wingman you always talk about sights xD

A G7 vs a Wingman with no sights on each, that "dot" you speak of will be dancing around like crazy for the person holding the wingman. Wingman does 45 dams, G7 30. Rate of fire is way faster on the wingman. You can easily hit the person holding the G7 because of ADS movement speed, the wingman will be harder to hit because there is no ADS movement speed. Its not all about sights. In a ranged situation, a G7 should have the upper hand, but it at most times does not.

Adding much more bullet drop would mean the person would have to aim in the air quite high to have it hit the person with the G7 - a much better scenario

    @SolitaryMassacre
Because I’m talking about sniping with it. Knowing the bullet drop helps, but if you can barely see the enemy then it doesn’t really do anything. Sure, you can spam shots, but that’s really just going to be less effective than if you just used a sniper or any other gun that can go higher than 2x sight.
Also, G7 has a faster RPM, by the way.
  • @Sir_Named But in my example, both guns don't see the target any better than the next, if anything, the G7 iron sights can't see crap. I don't disagree that using any other gun would be better, but when scenarios like I explained happen, the wingman usually has the upper hand due to ADS movement, hit power, etc.

Yes, the G7 is very slightly faster than the wingman. You are right. It sure as hell didn't feel that way lol.

@SolitaryMassacre You make a good point.
But to be more specific, if you try the same thing with their max sights, (at sniping range), the G7 might not move as fast, but has the edge on the Wingman since it can actually see the target fairly clearly.
The Wingman can strafe and spam, but it will miss a majority of the shots.
The G7 would slowly strafe, but has a much, much better chance of hitting the Wingman user. Plus, the G7 can spam slightly faster and generally more due to the mag size and rate of fire.

This is specifically for sniping though, I don’t deny that the Wingman will be just fine at mid range.
  • @Sir_Named This is a completely different scenario. But even still, the wingman user will be strafing faster and harder to follow in a zoomed in scope. My position will always be - a pistol should not out perform an AR or sniper at range. The sniper/AR should always have the upper hand.

@SolitaryMassacre You literally can’t strafe too fast for the scope. If that happens, then scope you used is too high magnification, which wouldn’t be happening on a 2x-4x at sniper distance.
It really isn’t that different of a scenario. Plus, people typically put scopes on their weapons anyway, (especially G7, nobody uses G7 iron sights unless you are a psychopath.), so your example wouldn’t be that relevant.
In my scenario, I’m putting the Wingman up against a semi-auto assault rifle at sniper range. And they are using sights, as it’d be ridiculous if they tried to snipe each other at sniping range without any scope.

This is a fairly common scenario, as it basically is just two squads sniping each other with at least semi kitted guns, at a long range.

Mid range, the Wingman probably can do better than some other guns, but at long range it really shouldn’t unless you are messing something up. Primarily because the Wingman doesn’t have access to high magnification scopes, and as such can’t see the target very well at long ranges, whereas the target will be able to see the Wingman user much better.

@SolitaryMassacre There is so much wrong about what you are saying lol
First of all the wingman does not Outperform Snipers/AR´s...all it does it can contest them pretty well

But if we just compare scout to wingman, there are ONLY 2things that the wingman has and that is its high ads movementspeed and the massive headshotdmg
Besides that the Scout is ahead in literally every aspect:

You talked about bulletspeed? wingman bullets are insanely slow compared to ar´s(18.000) the scout on the other hand sits at 31.500...

You said Scout shoots slightly faster?
Wingman has a RPM of 156 while the scout sits on 240 that is not just a little faster

Scopes well its personal preference ofc but on high range the scout has a better spectrum of scopes, but dont get me wrong all the wingman needs is a 1x 😉

Lastly dps: wingman sits at 117 vs 136 of the scout

The wingman is a favorite for many cuz its super versatile and its one of the best pokeguns in the game
