Re: Force Break Off

@MoNosDirtyGaming Dude, you may have 8k games but I think I know how jumpmaster is selected by now and I also know there are people who purposely not pick to avoid it because if the third player doesn't pick and let the timer pass then the jumpmaster is given to whoever did pick, it only becomes random if nobody picks afaik but I haven't been that scummy unless I was afk drinking water or something.

And no, jumping solo shouldn't be a thing unless the jumpmaster hasn't dropped after a certain time has passed, it's toxic and ruins the game and experience for everyone that came to play as a team just because some garbage streamer wannabe went solo with his Scuff controller and other expensive gear just because he can

@Pretzelnutcake LOL Believe what you want dude, clearly you still have no idea how it is selected. Jumpmaster is usually the last person choosing their character 90% of the time, test it? Join a friend, let them be party lead, you'll most likely be last pick because its their party, and you'll see for yourself, I've played enough bloody games to know this.

LOL how are you going to contradict yourself in your own statement, you want the solo feature and now you're saying solo jumping shouldn't be a thing?

By solo jumping you dive faster, you have more of a chance of actually grabbing loot, and not having your moronic teammate take your ammo for the gun YOU picked up. Having a feature where teammates are allowed to only break off a few hundred metres from the floor is idiotic and should not ever be suggested ever again, this instantly ruins some of the fluidity of the game.

And I'm sorry but if you are unable to kill a full squad on your own then apex isn't the game for you, teammates leave every game, teammates always jump solo to different places, teammates disconnect, you get into a fight and teammates disconnect, if you rely on teammates, play warzone, this game might of been structured around squad play but community wise it is far from it. It's NOT toxic, you must just be bad at the game if you rely on teammates to get the kills, means you NEED to be carried every single game and your aim is bad. I'd suggest practising in training mode.

To conclude, i'd rather jump solo than with my squad who decided to land at x location with 2 houses and enough loot for one person, there's a reason the feature has been implemented this way, and that's most likely why it will stay.

    Educate your apex knowledge.

@MoNosDirtyGaming Dont tag me in day one Apex posts and try to prove your point buddy, I am jumpmaster almost 100% of the time so this is something I'm pretty confident in, maybe one of the EA staff can confirm or deny this.

And no I didn't contradict myself anywhere, I said solo jumping is bad and it is, but so is landing on top of eachother and fighting for your teammates loot, that's where a choice of breaking off would be used , when you're near your landing spot and the other person hasn't broken off yet, there's a difference..

If you say so Cake. I'll keep my two cents to myself since clearly you'll be non the wiser, and I doubt EA mods will comment, because they don't bother commenting on most of the posts.

And what you just explained right there in your second short paragraph, is EXACTLY what predator teammates who know each other do, How do I know this? Seen it for myself, teammate had 25k kills, he knew his other friend, who was also a pred, they were wraith/lifeline, i was caustic. We won the game with lifeline with 11 kills, wraith with 8, me with 8, except I had 1000 more damage than the others, even took the liberty of recording the gameplay. Solo jumping is only bad if the player controlling the character is bad, it is all based on SBMM, unless they fix that we will never see any sort of improvement in gameplay. I think the idea would be good which he suggested, but it also has a lot of *, and it also means that players who choose awful spots with limited gun/loot spawn locations to land (like i mentioned above), would be another reason for teammates to not want to land with them and/or decide to go solo, this would also instantly cause more people disconnecting if they do not like the landing location.

  • @Sir_Named Oh I do, if anyone has the gall to suggest a landing spot after being jerks in the lobby then I'll happily pass it over to them, take a guess what happens next though, it gets passed around until I'm once again jumpmaster...

Spineless * is all I ever get queued with and the rare occasion someone else actually jumps it's usually to land far and safe from the action

@MoNosDirtyGaming I don’t see how if you aren’t able to kill a whole squad then the game isn’t for you. You have people who spam with R-99 and Devotions all the time
  • @Sylvester9991 Because SBMM is so trash that that's the only option you have left if you wish to win a game, unless you want to hide all game and third party the last squad. Every single time I play this game I HAVE TO kill the entire squad by myself, if I don't, then I lose, because my teammates suck, even in ranked, doesn't make a difference, its only on the rare occasion that they're good.

How can you spam with an R99 when the clip empties in less than 2 secs? A devotion has limited ammo, I believe you mean a havoc.
  • @Sylvester9991 Clearly you can't be this delusional lol, with the R99 you HAVE TO hit all your shots, and even then you may still need to reload, the havoc you hit someone 3 times and it shreads 180HP. Do I need to Upload some gameplay I have to show you how stupidly OP it is currently?
  • @Sylvester9991 Lol havoc has next to 0 recoil, it's just like the R99, all you need to do is move your right stick down, that's literally it. its a 3 hit kill from any distance. 4 bodyshots from close range and you're dead. It is a stupid weapon which should not have outputted as much damage as it does. It's a gun for noobs.

@Pretzelnutcake Not always. Can't apply "always break off" to all situations. On hot drops it's often detrimental.

What @Pure_Funk_Nugget said. On hotdrops, sometimes you see a squad split too far off from each other, your squad sticks together and apes one poor dude. Even when they get a gun you all just tag team and punch them. That works often, his teammates are too far away to help and then it's 3 on 2. 🙂
