Re: Havoc - Select fire

@Aaxhaaz I believe this would made make the Havoc more powerful than intended.

The gun is already good (when not compared to the Charge Rifle) as the single fire has no drop off and 100% accuracy if you can aim it. While the Tubro lets you shred opponents like cheese.

Having the ability to switch to one or the other at any moment seems like it would be unfair and just OP. Sniping enemies from miles away and than tearing them apart as they try to get close.

I think it's well balanced as is with having to either carry one extra or simply just take the normal charge up speed vs turbo speed.

Maybe an easier option to swap it out while checking your inventory would be nice. But not the ability to attach 2 to 1.

@iBlockHead You already have the option to change firemode at any time. Like any other gun. With "b" (default keybind). But problem is that firemode will be slow since you have selectfire instead of turbo.
I still think that the gun with SF is underwhelming and bad, the delay is the main problem.
Its amazing with turbocharger dont get me wrong. I love that weapon.
  • @Aaxhaaz that's my whole point on why it's balanced.

Accept the slower charge rate for sniper capabilities or take the faster charge rate but no sniper capabilities. 1 gives you the benefit of both but with a slower AR fire rate and the other just makes it a faster firing gun with not other option.

Well balanced but I would like the select fire version to deal more damage, it does use 3-4 more shots for a single shot so a damage increase there would do it justice and put it on par or close to the charge rifle which does more damage and does not consume too much ammo.

@iBlockHead I only tried the havoc with Select Fire once so maybe I'm underestimating it here. When I tried it the select fire option used more ammo and fired a slow moving bullet that could be side-stepped. It only seemed to be valuable against stationary targets at a distance and didnt do enough damage to one shot or badly damage a target. In a head to head fight its useless and doesn't do enough damage to ambush a target so at best it can only be used to 3rd party long distance fights.

Combining the turbo charger and select fire attachment on the havoc might make select fire useful but even then i doubt it. I understand your point about balance but at the moment Select fire is trash on the havoc.
