@IceCr34mEmperor I would think that would break gold shields completely. I mean what is the point if after you get it cracked it goes back to purple and stays there the entire game.
When you shoot someone and see gold armor, that should change how you fight. I always change out how I fight with gold armor people. First, I never do long range with gold armor UNLESS its near the end of the game - this causes them to use all their heals making them weak (granted I can't get hit either, so I only long range with sentinel, longbow, kraber)
Next, if you are close range, shoot them and make them come after you. I always "play" with my enemy when I see gold shields. I never rush, I make them come at me. Or, if they are the last of their squad, then I rush, cause 9/10 they will try to res their squadmates.
Gold shields are not op and do not need a nerf. I honestly dislike how long it takes to use heal items (why I main lifeline or octane) and will ALWAYS heal the second 25 dams is taken from my shield or health. I never wait, irregardless of the shield.
People need to change how they fight people with gold shields. If you see someone with gold shields, they run and heal, DO NOT RUSH. Heal yourself up, and wait for them to come to you. Get the high ground, get cover, wait for them. I have wiped out so many people with gold shields its not even funny. This is why I have a hard time understanding people's complaints about it. The only thing, which I have said before, that I think needs changing is the spawn rate. Should only be on train, and vaults, plus care packages. That is it.
