Re: Lifeline is broken!!

I mean follow through with your kills like most people do. =P Why you are not instantly pushing a team low on heals with 1 knocked is in no form a lifeline problem but instead a player strategy problem.

@E9ine_AC both players being revived were on opposite sides of me, they were a Valk and a Path.

If I knock Path, and tried to finish him off, he puts up the knockdown shield as Lifeline shoots me in the back, so I try to kill him during the revive phase, but Lifeline and Valk would be an issue. I knock Valk, and reknock Path, and Lifeline just goes and taps on of them back up, shoots at me while going over to the other to tap them back up.

The problem is, my teammates were killed, and I can't "thirst" anyone, when they pull out that knockdown shield and I'm getting hit in the back by one player, and another player is half way picked back up with a golden backpack.

I used to think the Dev's removing Lifeline's rev shield was uncalled for, however this no-skill-required revive is more "manageable" but interrupting a revive doesn't seem to be easy. I can shoot at the person, and they still get revived - even if I hit the drone.

You may be thinking, "why not kill Lifeline?" If I were to go directly for her, (and I tried), both Valk and Path would be back up and back in my face, keeping her safe.

It was an endless cycle of "haha, can't touch this" - and arenas shouldn't be about keeping a 3v1 constantly alive just because the team of 3 has a healer.

Yeah, let's nerf Lifeline again. She's just marginally better than Wattson and Rampart. We shall not stop our hate campaign until she is worse than the two. Then we can go back to play the game with legends in perfect balance, like Gibby, Octane, and Bloodhound.

Anyway, that there's an "issue" in Arenas is just tough, shouldn't get to effect abillities in BR mode.

@Midnight9746 Are you suggesting that Lifeline has to buy her passive while Gibby gets gun shield for free and Octane gets unlimited health regen for free? Okay then.
  • @CCbathwater Lifeline and Bloodhound are undeniably broken, Wattson only has a high win rate because shes being exploited in ranked with portable respawn beacons to farm RP/Badges and Gibralter is in a good spot imo although on the strong side... whats funny is Daniel Klein is planning on BUFFING Gibralter... its ridiculous

@CCbathwaterThe issue isn't that she's better or worse than anyone else, its that she's fully capable of turning around a fight without any real skill from the player. She just taps the res, and if they are far enough back, has the two up and going before the other team can readily push. Its not dependent on her player's skill, its just a simple button press. Granted up close she can be fairly easily stopped, but that takes away precious seconds where she is shooting at you without you shooting at her. (Grenades also take a second or two to deploy and re-equip weapons from)

She doesn't need a nerf, she needs her old kit back. The fast heals and shield were fair, because it took her out of the fight for a little bit.

  • @Arkuos16 Fast heals were the most op passive in the game. It was so good people played her despite her tactical, ult, and rez shield revives being garbage at the time. Imagine a lifeline fast heal batting red shields, or popping cells with gold shields pretty much immediately. She would pub stomp even more than she does already.
  • @TinyTim6991I do agree Lifeline was amazing during Solos with her fast heals, I just want Lifeline to have her manual revive back (with a shield but instead of it being invincible the strength could be based off of her teammate’s knockdown shield levels)

The auto revive mechanic is ok on a game like Rogue Company but on Apex Legends its too broken espeically in Arenas where there are only 3 players on each team.... if they had teams of 5-6 (or a game mode with limited/unlimited revives) it would be fine but when its just 1 player trying to clutch the fight or a 2 v 3 it’s incredibly broken... the gold backpack just needs completely removed from Arenas and then it wouldn’t be quite as bad

  • @E9ine_AC Saying push a team because of a knockdown is suggesting you take no damage in that fight as well. If you have to back up and heal by the time youre done healing the downed player is probably all but up and healing as well. Your team can push but its still a 2v2 in that situation and pretty much puts you at no advantage if someone on your team needs to heal. Even if you dont take damage its a 2v3 which is a huge advantage but do i risk exposing to be knocked as well just to finish a downed player so lifeline cant revive them? Everything you said, I said, and everyones saying is situational and more times than not lifelines reviving can even make that teams situation favor them by the opposing team moving from cover to push the knockdown and get a knockdown themselves.

@Midnight9746 Bro I 100% agree with you I hate it when I play arenas and I know 2 and then go back to heal just to know that the full squad is alive again with full shields and health like it’s not really fair tbh she needs a limit of revives

@lops3004 I was in favor of giving her res a cooldown when she still had a shield. Now she's ok but she's fairly oppressive in Arenas with a Gold Backpack. Pretty "meh" without one unless its a premade team.
