My issue is false advertising, plain and simple.  I don't care who has what.  The following ad copy USED to be listed for the battle pass, but was changed:

"Will the Battle Pass rewards for a specific season ever return when that season is over?"

"No. All seasonal cosmetic rewards (excluding Apex Packs and content dropped from them) in the Battle Pass are exclusive to their specific season and will never be available again. Players in future seasons will be jealous of your OG status."


Unless someone can convince me with an argument otherwise, I don't know how to see this except as a bait and switch, which is illegal.

    @pandareno1999I think thats why they have changed it to ‘’starting in season 11... something something skins will be brought back’’ but for skins season 10 and under they likely won’t return except for skydive emote and stuff like I know the season 7 pathfinder skydive emote is returning despite the message

    I think that new players should at least be able to earn specific items from the battlepasses like the music packs

    I believe that is not true, however.  @Cheese9Man didn't you list some BP skins that have been re-released, or slated to be, according to data miners?

    Also, if I understand correctly, the ad copy was changed in the middle of season 7.  Some players bought the BP with the items advertised as being exclusive, then the rules of the game got changed without notice.

    I mean, I don't like to be the guy complaining about this, but false advertising really bothers me.

    I believe that Respawn has walked this back a little bit recently.   This post  appeared on reddit today.  A quick google search of that text didn't pan out, and I don't have time to do a thorough search on twitter, where I assume this first appeared.  So I will take it at face value for now that this information is true and provided by Respawn.  In that thread is a post suggesting that they have further walked this back to begin in season 11 instead of season 10.  And also confirmation that the BP holospray, that was included in a forthcoming bundle leaked by data miners, has been changed to a CE holospray.  So it would seem that my objections have been satisfied.
