Re: Rage Quitters

@Lord_Yeetus01

Clearer. But I still have questions. For example, when you're in an uranked trios match and your teammates take it in the face and quit... why then do you not quit and queue up again? Rather than ratting for 15 minutes and inevitably dying? There's no leave penalty, no black mark on your record, no public shame that I'm aware of.

I understand your frustration. As a guy who primarily plays unranked trios, and who plays to win, I know what it's like to get match after match after match with randoms who drop hot, die early, and quit. But that's the solo queue experience. That's the pubs experience. That's the competitive shooter experience. I've never played one that didn't have a quitting problem bordering on crippling.

    @reconzero" I've never played one that didn't have a quitting problem bordering on crippling." Games with skillcapped servers where i can decide which server i connect to (like most of the AFPS games) dont really have that problem. Very rare that a teammate in Clan Arena/CTF jumps ship.

  • @reconzero Sorry for the late reply, but I honestly have thought about it. It doesn't affect me either to leave when others do, but here's my one issue with that; badges. There's a bunch of clean badges out there but most, if not all, require in-game kills/damage to earn, such as [Teamwork] that requires each member to get kills. I understand it's not all about getting the badges and that friends can join me whenever, but as a player it's a nice, skill-based goal that most of the time isn't even achievable because of quitters.
    I'll accept that punishing quitters isn't as good of an idea as I once thought but it's still a little disheartening that for a squad-based game, the squad isn't even there most of the time.

    I rage quit, sometimes quite a bit when the SBMM goes to hell & I'm getting obliterated in milliseconds repeatedly.  I don't really want to sit around and watch my random teammates do whatever it is they're gonna do which usually means dying quickly or running off without a care in the world.  I will stay if it looks like my teammates have a chance of winning the fight though.

    There is no shame if a person quits. They've made a judgement to quit based on chances of recovery. People have limited time to play because of work/life. Rematch making is 3 seconds rather waiting for a team mate to rat in corner.

    Problem is the 1v3 pro wannabes whom have watched too much YouTube. They should know you don't just dive in and should take height and cover advantage for easier repeeks and retreat or play the ring advantage to force opponents to break cover to you. Movement as a dodge monkey is great, but it's about planning, rotating and positioning so you're constantly at advantage. Only diving close if very clear advantage.

    There are times you just want to fake ping another enemy somewhere else closer just to pull them away from making a bad move and save them. Otherwise it will be 1v3, they curse you and quit. It's wrong but it works. "Don't go in solo" never works, most of time you're ignored

    This is the best description I've ever read of the process that is the main spring of this game. Randoms don't listen to each other, and then suddenly two of them are dead. And neither of them will ever acknowledge that if there's one guy left alive then he must have been right all along.

    Sooner everyone stops feeling guilty and just leave them, the sooner community will understand to not go close combat 1v3. Then sooner people will at least look 180 to see if their team mates actually joined them in the push.

    These players rely on other's guilty conscience to keep doing this like you're their personal revive kit....Leave them, so they learn.

    1v3 down quit. OK no problem them lets start a trend of "leave the 1v3 down" where he is to counter it. We'll enjoy the game better this way!

    @reconzeroThose games are the best, grab both of those boxes, respawn them the last ring and win the match single handed. Doesnt happen too often, but when, its priceless. And instead of a GG they get a : Youre welcome 😉
