 I welcome the ranked changes however I think that there may be a lot of misconceptions on how demotion will work and I see it this way (from a previous post in the general conversation area). 

I think the demotion protection removal is a bit misunderstood at the moment.

So lets say I make Plat 4 have used up my 3 protected matches and continue to lose RP and get demoted to the lower rank that would then put me at 50% marker in Gold 1. we are all agreed on this point.

So lets just say you are at that 50% gold 1 point and continue to have bad games and continue to lose RP then you will drop tiers with in gold 2-3-4 and if you then lose enough to drop to Silver then you will get dropped to 50% Silver one mark etc etc. so yes I believe you can in fact keep getting dropped if you keep having bad games. 

Like I said before the point is to play as a team. 

Think of the new Ranked system as a Pubs ALGS because that is what the new system is gearing towards.

We will see this coming Tuesday. 

I do think it will make it harder for the non team players solo q players that can play with other Randoms that play as a team will be OK. 

This will also as you said more than likely balance out the ranks better and a lot of those solo Q hard stuck D4's are going to find out that they are at best Plat players.
