@GalacticxWarrior The problem is, reconnecting is broken. Take a game like Overwatch. It is a team-based game but rejoining simply respawns you. You can reconnect to ranked or quick play with no punishment. But take Apex Legends, it would be broken to respawn at full health because Apex can't track your HP/inventory before you left to cause the server shut down. Just imagine you fighting a team, you win and have 1 HP and no heals. Then I respawn from disconnection and eliminate you with my fists...

    Right, but you don't despawn like in overwatch. You simply sit there, if you don't die. There is actually no way reconnecting would be abusable. It's a simple matter of starting right where you were when you dc'd with the exact same inventory. it actually might even be harder because you have less time to get in the ring or may already be in it taking damage when you come back. If you don't die, you should be able to reconnect. That's just a fact.

    But if someone has a lot faster internet than you do they will rejoin the game a lot faster and will be able to kill you before you can reconnect. Kind of like ddos
