If you're on PC: No.

If you're on console: Yes, you can technically switch it off, you'll just not get to play, as there'll be 1-2 players in queue for the entire evening. Thanks to Respawn for defaulting "crossplay on".

Ps. It sounds like you're on PC, so I'm afraid even if you could turn crossplay off for ranked, you still wouldn't enjoy the game as PC Apex has been known to have its fair share of chea... "unfair players" of its own.
