Re: Too many "pro" players ruining everyone's fun.
That is why I added 'or other game stats' because a players KDR is way too inconsistent to properly measure to create decent gameplay lobbies.
There's always going to be someone better in these kinds of games, and yes it can be hella frustrating when you land and point 0.2 seconds later you're back searching for a lobby when you pick a bad drop and immediately get roasted, but when you're going against someone that just doesn't seem to miss because their skill level is far superior than yours and a majority of the lobby is like that?
I never expect to go in and win every game, it's a br, it's not going to happen, but what can happen is more evenly matched games where the winner isn't going to be quite so obvious.
The good players can't help being good, they've had more time and more practice to hone their skills compared to someone who mostly just gets to play on weekends.
In the end, Apex is a game, and there is no harm in trying to make it better for everyone to enjoy. Its discouraging to the new/bad players of the game, especially when they come to places like these to share their crappy experience, openly admitting to just being salty, and still have the toxic community telling them to 'just get better.' Telling them what they already know, isn't going to help, how about actually pointing out ways to improve instead? The match making sucks for many reasons, this one just so happens to be the conversation for this topic.
The point of a more even lobby matchmaking would be for the newer and not so good players to have a chance to learn and improve. Videos? Watching other players? The firing range? Arenas? As much as I agree that these are good places to learn a few things, they only go so far. Arenas can be it's own crappy experience depending on your team and how the other team plays. It can be a good place to learn the different guns, but if you're trying to run a gun you're not used to, and your teammates are crap, going against another team that is set on just annihilating you..well, its not going to be a decent learning experience.
If not a more even lobby, then maybe a lobby filled with nothing but bots that you can change the difficulty on, because again, Apex is a game, people want to enjoy it, but when topics like these just get run over by the more toxic community members that don't see any issue because they're in the top tiers, they lose interest in the game and then apex loses more of its player base. It's not 'fair' to dismiss someone's thoughts on improvement because you feel they need to just 'man up' and accept it.
