i think the issue stems from server load or amount of servers.
2.5 million people download the game and all play squads
if we have solos, squads, and duos it splits the player base 3 ways
on top of that EA would have to dedicate more servers to accomdate those game modes and it makes queue times fast when finding a match only having one game mode.
look at PUBG pr Ring Of Elysium.... with the player base split between 3rd person, 1st person, duos, squads, solos you are sometimes waiting in the queue for 8+ minutes.
im fairly certain they will add this in the future but it makes sense to me why they would only roll out squads at the moment
