Solos and Duos are needed
This game lacks of solo and duos. Making people to play in party with randoms is a good idea, but forcing them to do so is not. Sometimes its possible to find a great teammates and win a game with th...
That's why they have a Ping system.
I refuse to believe that the devs did not consider the possibility that solo/duos would be heavily requested or even needed for long term success. It’s too much of a genre standard. Hell, even many heavily cooperative games still support AI companions to some degree to cater to solo players, like Payday and Left for Dead.
Also, while it’s certainly not confirmed, an individual on Twitter posted what is, allegedly, game code suggesting solo/duos was already partially implemented or at least the framework for it to be added later. He also posted what seemed like a very convincing screenshot of a possible future Legend, named Cooper.
Funny enough, the supposed new Legend, Cooper, has both a double jump and a wall run.
Regardless of rather solo/duos gets added, and I’m confident it will be, I’ll be here. I think there’s more to lose than gain by forcing trios. I’m sure they’ll address it soon enough.
The teamwork aspect of the game is well done, mostly thanks to the great coms/ping system but by no means is the game so heavily team-based that teams is essential for the game to still maintain its identity. This game is more than just “3 man squad BR.”
There are, **Formed Groups**, and **Non-Formed Groups**
**Formed Groups** - Friends that create a group.
**Non-Formed Groups** - Random players, that you don't know each other, which is grouped up (PUG).
IF you create a **Formed Group**, you ONLY play against other **Formed Groups**.
IF you have NOT created a **Formed Group**, and you are joining random players, that you don't know each other, which is group up (PUG), you do NOT play against **Formed Groups.**
So, if you are in a **Non-Formed Group**, then you ONLY play against a **Non-Formed Group**.
No matter what, you ARE in a group, we all know that. 😉 It's how the group is created which makes the difference! 🙂
